- If you go business to business, Real Estate Agents love to take time to talk to you, because

real estate web portal, and that means exposure for them and their business. Not only that, but our business COMPLIMENTS theirs and you can work together with Real Estate Agents to boost their business for them.
- Rent a booth at any local home shows or business shows where you know there will be a crowd of people. Hand out flyers and
erect a large poster.
- Go to your local Chamber of Commerce meetings. They usually let you bring flyers about your business, after all the main
point of those meetings is to network with other business people. This costs you almost nothing, takes only an hour
or so of your time, and is probably one of your most effective tools. Remember,
these meetings are usually social occasions and everyone is talking to everyone else about their own business. They
expect you to talk about yours!
- Post advertisements on free bulletin boards at local restaurants, grocery stores, etc.
- Write short, original articles and we'll put them in our article website at no cost to you. By placing a link in your article
back to YOUR local web site, you will increase it's search engine rankings and also get many more click-throughs from the people who read the article. (If you're not confident enough to write your own articles, you can go to www.elance.com where you can hire writers to do this for you. The average cost is about $7 - $8 for a 500 word article)
- If you belong to a church, club, or community organization and they have a newsletter,
put in an announcement to property owners in the newsletter (it usually only costs a few cents in the dollar!).
- As soon as you have profits coming in, you can place small ads (or jingles) on your
local radio station.
- You could start your own free newspaper. Using your home computer print articles about
real estate that you think people would find interesting (you can get thousands
of free articles off the internet at places like http://goarticles.com). Give your newspaper a name, print it on the front and back of 8½" by 11" paper, fold it in half and you have a
simple, but effective, give-away newspaper!
On the final point, one of our local directors has become so successful with his free newspaper that he even gets the local Real Estate agents
paying him to advertise in it! Not only that, they're happy for him to leave his newspaper in their business for distribution!
A two-page newspaper costs about 5 cents to have printed
professionally, so a
1000 paper run costs $50.00 for printing. That means you only need to sell $50.00 worth of advertisements
to cover your costs
(you'll sell ten times that if you approach it
professionally).

it's the main reason for running your newspaper!
